What types of accommodation do you have?

We have four main types of accommodation at Kanasta Caravan Park: cabins, holiday homes, retro caravans, and powered sites. Whether you are looking for a luxury cabin, a spacious holiday home, a charming retro caravan, or a powered site for your camper, we have something to suit every traveller.

How many people can book a cabin?

  • Studio Cabin: Sleeps up to 4 guests with 1 double bed and 2 single bunk beds. Ideal for couples or small families.
  • Studio Cabin with Separate Bedroom: Sleeps up to 4 guests with 1 double bed and 1 bunk bed in a separate bedroom, perfect for added privacy.
  • Standard Two Bedroom Cabin: Sleeps up to 6 guests with 1 double bed and 4 single bunk beds. Great for larger families or groups.
  • Family Two Bedroom Cabin: Sleeps up to 5 guests with 1 queen bed, 1 double bed, and a fold-down bed. Perfect for families needing more space.
  • Deluxe Family Two Bedroom Cabin: Sleeps up to 6 guests with 1 queen bed and 4 single bunk beds, providing extra room and comfort for bigger groups.

Each cabin is equipped with fresh, professionally cleaned linen, towels, and complimentary toiletries for a relaxing and carefree stay.

  • Peggy Sue: Sleeps 2, featuring a cosy double bed inside the caravan.
  • Jayco Stirling: Sleeps 2, offering a queen bed inside the caravan. Note: Shared bathroom facilities only.
  • Gracie Mae: Sleeps 4, with a main bed in the annex and a bunk bed in the back of the caravan.
  • Ruby: Sleeps 4-6, with a main bed in the annex and a bunk bed in the back of the caravan.
  • Lola: Sleeps 5, with a main bed in the annex, a single bed in the back, a table that converts to a double bed, and a fold-out couch. Note: Lola does not yet have a split system aircon/heater (as of November 2024).
  • Eleanor: Sleeps 4, featuring a double bed in the front of the caravan and two single beds in the annex.
  • Betty: Sleeps 4, with a main bed in the annex and a double bed inside the caravan.
  • Mavis: Sleeps 6, with a bunk bed in a separate section of the annex, a fold-out custom-made couch, and a double bed inside the caravan.
  • Daisy: Sleeps 6, with two single beds in the annex (which can be made into a large bed), a sofa bed in the annex, and a double bed in the back of the caravan.
  • Polly Anna: Sleeps 6, featuring a double bed inside the caravan, two single beds in the annex, and a fold-out couch.
  • Dorothy: Sleeps 6, with a main bed in the annex, a sofa bed in the annex, and two single beds in the back of the caravan.
  • Elizabeth: Sleeps 6, with a main bed in the annex, a double bed inside the caravan, and a fold-out couch in the annex.
  • Summer: Sleeps 5, with one double bed in the annex, one single bed in a separate room in the caravan, and a fold-out couch.
  • Mary Jane: Sleeps 5, with a main bed in the annex, a fold-out couch in the annex, and one single bed in the back of the caravan.

All retro caravans come fully equipped with a caravan-style kitchen, TV, WiFi, and essential amenities, including linen, towels, and toiletries.

Do you have powered sites?

We offer powered sites during certain times of the year for caravans and campervans under 18 feet. This is a great option for guests who prefer to bring their own setup while still enjoying the facilities of our park. Please check with us for availability and seasonal dates.

What holiday homes do you have available?

Our holiday homes are located right next to the park, making it easy to enjoy our facilities while having more space and privacy. These homes can accommodate between 6 to 10 guests, making them ideal for larger families, groups of friends, or wedding parties. Staying in our holiday homes means you get the best of both worlds: the comforts of a fully equipped house and the convenience of our park’s amenities.

Do you provide linen and towels?

Yes, all our cabins and caravans come with fresh, professionally cleaned linen and towels. No need to bring your own unless you prefer to!

Are the holiday homes close to the park?

Yes, our holiday homes are located right next to the park, making it easy to enjoy all our amenities. These homes are perfect for large families, groups of friends, or anyone looking for more space while staying connected to the Kanasta community.

Do you cater to group bookings?

Absolutely! We love hosting group bookings, whether it is a family reunion, wedding party, or a getaway with friends. We can arrange for multiple cabins, caravans, or holiday homes to be booked together to keep your group close. Just let us know what you need, and we will make it happen!

Park Facilities

Do you have a BBQ area?

Yes, we have a covered BBQ area complete with seating. It is the perfect spot to cook up a feast and enjoy a meal with family or fellow travellers.

Is there a games room?

Yes, our games room is loaded with fun activities! It features pool tables, table tennis, arcade games, pinball, and more. Great for guests of all ages.

Do you have a playground?

Yes, we have a children’s playground that will keep the little ones happily entertained.

Do you have laundry facilities?

Yes, we have convenient laundry facilities for guests, including washing machines, dryers, and a clothesline.

Can I bring my boat?

Yes, you can bring your boat, and we are only a 5-minute walk from the Rye boat launching ramp. You can park your boat in your designated car space, or if it is too large, we will direct you to a suitable parking spot outside the park.

What attractions are nearby?

Kanasta Caravan Park is in a prime location on the Mornington Peninsula. Here are some must-see attractions:

  • Rye Beach and Pier: Just a 5-minute walk for swimming, fishing, or a leisurely stroll.
  • Peninsula Hot Springs and Alba Thermal Springs: Relax and unwind at these famous hot springs, both just a short drive away. We even sell Priority Passes for the Peninsula Hot Springs for your convenience.
  • Wineries and Breweries: The region is renowned for its vineyards and craft beer spots, perfect for a tasting tour.
  • Family-Friendly Adventures: Visit the Enchanted Adventure Garden or Ashcombe Maze for a day of fun with the whole family.

What family-friendly activities are there?

Booking & General Questions

Is there secure parking?

Yes, our park has secure parking with remote control gate access for your peace of mind.

Are you pet-friendly?

Yes, we are pet-friendly in select accommodations. Pets must be registered at check-in and kept on a lead when outside. Check our pet-friendly page for more information.

Do you have a tennis court?

No, we do not have a tennis court, but there are plenty of other local activities to enjoy nearby.

Do you have recycling facilities?

Yes, we are committed to eco-friendly practices and have recycling bins available. Please help us keep the park and the Mornington Peninsula clean and beautiful.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in starts at 2:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM. If you need an early check-in or a late check-out, please let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate your request, subject to availability.

Do you have WiFi?

Yes, we provide complimentary WiFi throughout the park so you can stay connected.

Can I have visitors during my stay?

Yes, visitors are welcome but must sign in at reception and follow our park rules. Visitor parking is limited, so they may need to park outside the park.

Are there any safety tips for the retro caravans?

Yes, for safety reasons, our retro caravans do not have hotplates or gas burners. You are welcome to use our communal BBQ area or hire a BBQ for your site. All vans have electric fry pans and induction cooktops. Please refrain from using naked flames or smoking inside the vans.
